Horsham Urban District Council, INFLUENZA.
Warning – The person attacked by Influenza who does not take precautions runs grave risks himself and may be a source of danger to others. Influenza is a serious disease and is highly infectious. Infection is always caught through direct contact with a person suffering from the disease. A very severe attack may be caught from a person who has it in a mild form. The patient is most infectious at the beginning of the illness.

How to protect yourself if attacked 1-4 (Pneumonia, Heart Failure and Consumption often follow influenza).
How to protect others 1-4 (the infected person can and must avoid spreading infection).
