Horsham, Anchor Inn, May 4, 1833. Mr Edward Lucas, in the Chair

Resolved unanimously
That it is the opinion of this Meeting and we re satisfied it is also the general opinion of the Parish that there is no cause whatever for a fresh Election of a Vestry Clerk, which has been filled by Mr Hunt with approbation for a period of Twenty Years.
We therefore, studying the Interest of the Parish declare that no other Person appears to us more competent for that situation and we are determined to ascertain the sense of the Parish upon this important Question – and we feel it our duty to use our utmost exertions in requesting our Friends to attend the Vestry to be held on Thursday, the 9th Day of May Instant, at Three o’Clock in the afternoon, to support Mr Hunt.
