William Whiting has instructed Mr Plumer to sell by auction at the Swann Inn, on Wednesday November 29th 1876 at 2 pm
Lot 1 – Springfield Road, a brick built and slated house occupied by the late Mrs Whiting.
Lot 2 – a brick built and slate healed detached cottage and garden let to Mrs Welling, a Widow, and a garden adjoining, lately cultivated by Mrs Whiting, deceased; and adjoining a detached messuage in two tenements in the occupation of George Etheridge and John Burrage. The approach to this Lot from the road now called Trafalgar Road is on the North Side of the Nelson Arms Inn.
Lot 3 – West Parade, Two freehold detached brick built and tiled messuages and gardens. One has been occupied by Henry Humphrey for the last 33 years and the other has been held by Mark Greenfield for 14 years.
Lot 4 – East Street – Beershop and Premises known as the “Brickmakers Arms” on the West side of the railway bridge, in the occupation of M M Carthe, under Messrs Usher, Robins and Co. Also the two messuages adjoining let to H Huntley and J Orton. There is a frontage of 93 feet and gardens at the back.
