Horsham Petty Sessional Division Emergency Committee - Instructions to the civilian population in the event of a “State of Emergency” being declared by the competent Military Authority.

The Object of the regulations is, in the event of a raid or landing being effected or of an attack by aircraft, to ensure as far as possible the safety of the Population, and to remove everything which may be of use or assistance to the enemy.

On a “State of Emergency” being declared by the Competent Military Authority, the County will most probably be at once subject to Martial Law, and the inhabitants must immediately obey all orders given by the Military, Police, Special Constables, and others acting under them.
