It is a fact, as notorious as it is lamentable, that the period of an Election produces not only frequent differences between townsmen and friends, but, through the medium of the press, inundates a wearied public with pamphlets and squibs, which often render those differences irreconcilable; and which, in exchange for such disadvantage, are not liberal enough to offer even the smallest particle of information or amusement. &c &c.
