Description

TO THE GENTLEMEN, CLERGY, AND FREEHOLDERS OF THE RAPE OF BRAMBER, AND TO THE WORTHY AND INDEPENDENT ELECTORS OF THE BOROUGH OF NEW SHOREHAM.

GENTLEMEN,
As Mr. Sugden has issued an address dated the 31st May inst, disclaiming a letter to which he therein alludes, I beg leave to present you with a correct copy of it, and to assure you that the original is in my possession.
By this, Gentlemen, you will see with what sincerity Mr. Sugden could a few days after that letter was written, have issued his Address to you against Catholic Emancipation.

I am Gentlemen, Your most obedient, humble Servant, ROBT. UPPERTON, AGENT to MR HOWARD, Steyning, 3rd June, 1826
Copy of a Letter from Charles Butler, Esq. to Edward Blount, Esq.

Etc., Etc. . . .

[Letter demonstrating Mr Sudgen actually supports Catholic Emancipation]
